Sauna
The sauna is a space built of resin-free pinewood which is heated to 80-110 °C by heating volcanic stones inside. As an effect of the hot air, the body temperature rises as well, which is accompanied by vasodilation (the widening of the blood vessels), which causes a drop in blood pressure. The cold bath or shower has the opposite effect: the blood vessels contract and the blood pressure rises. This type of pumping effect enhances circulation. Saunas are recommended for locomotor disorders that require the enhancement of blood distribution and chronic catarrhal inflammations. The sauna also has a positive effect on the skin tone; it helps in clearing the epidermis and emptying the sebaceous glands. The sauna contributes exceptionally to increasing the resistivity of our bodies and the betterment of its general condition.
Solarium
Besides use for cosmetic purposes, solariums are also effective in helping generate vitamin D, which inhibits the inflammation of bone tissues and aids the absorption of calcium. Another advantage of the ultraviolet radiation produced by solariums is that it has a painkilling effect. It is usually recommended as a treatment for inflammations of joints and nerves. The use of the solarium is not recommended in a feverish state, or in case of skin inflammations or heart arrhythmia.
Salt chamber
It has been known for centuries that salty sea air has a healing effect on the human body, especially on the respiratory organs.
The saturated salt solution placed in the chamber and the salt blocks placed along the walls make the air similar to salty sea air.
The solution that the salt blocks are soaked in creates a relative humidity of 70-80% and filters impurities from the air. Breathing in this clean air high in salt and mineral content brings relief to those suffering from allergies, asthma, and other diseases of the respiratory system.
The climate of the salt chamber enhances the activity of the respiratory organs and induces a process that clears them. The air also has a mucus solvent effect, which brings relief to those suffering from infections of the sinuses for example, or catarrhal inflammations.
A 30-40 minute session is recommended daily. Temperature: 20-22 °C
